Filler Products
We don't make the products you make, we make them greener
Use of our recycled glass fillers in your products will help your customers meet Green Building and LEED certifications. Click to learn more about LEED Certification.
PRI’s post-industrial and post consumer glass media products are used as fillers in a variety of applications such as latex, urethane, rubber, epoxies, plastics and other polymers. Our recycled glass media glass products, when used in polymer applications, allow the compounder to not only reduce resin cost but also may reinforce the resin and provide thermal property and flowability improvements.
PRI’s Recycled Glass Media: Contains NO FREE Silica nor potentially toxic metals.
- Is completely inert, non-reactive and non-toxic.
- Meets or exceeds accepted performance standards.
- Qualifies products for Recycled Content and NSF 140 Certification.
- Is available in 50 lb bags and 3000 lb Super Sacks.
PRI, the leading supplier of precision engineered recycled fillers
Consistent, Quality source of recycled glass additives
-
Precision Glass Media™ delivers multiple benefits in polymer applications where enhanced performance, reduced resin usage and recycled content is desired including:
Paint, polyolefin, PVC, epoxy, sealants, SBR, VAE, adhesive, urethane and more -
Here are some key reasons to use PRI Fumed Silica:
1. Rheology Control & Thickening
- Acts as a thixotropic agent, preventing sagging and settling in coatings, adhesives, and sealants.
- Enhances viscosity and provides anti-settling properties in liquid formulations.
2. Reinforcement in Polymers & Elastomers
- Improves the mechanical strength of rubber, silicone, and elastomers.
- Enhances tear resistance, elongation, and tensile strength in composites.
3. Anti-Caking & Free-Flow Agent
- Prevents powder clumping in food, pharmaceuticals, and agrochemicals.
- Improves flow properties of powders and granulated materials.
4. Transparency & Optical Clarity
- Used in coatings and adhesives to maintain clarity while adding strength and stability.
- Ideal for applications requiring high transparency, such as optical-grade coatings.
5. Moisture Resistance & Absorption
- Excellent moisture scavenger, preventing degradation in sensitive formulations.
- Enhances shelf life of hygroscopic products.
6. Surface Modification & Hydrophobicity
- Available in hydrophilic and hydrophobic grades, allowing customization based on application needs.
- Hydrophobic versions enhance water repellency in coatings, paints, and personal care products.
7. Abrasion Resistance & Durability
- Increases scratch and wear resistance in paints, coatings, and composite materials.
- Improves abrasion resistance in industrial and automotive applications.
8. Chemical Stability & Compatibility
- Chemically inert and compatible with a wide range of resins, polymers, and solvents.
- Ideal for harsh environments where chemical resistance is required.
9. Controlled Release Applications
- Used in pharmaceuticals and agriculture for controlled release of active ingredients.
- Enhances dispersion and stability of bioactive compounds.
10. Enhanced Dispersion in Liquids
- Improves homogeneous mixing of pigments, fillers, and resins.
- Enhances uniformity and performance in high-solid formulations.
Our recycled glass filler products are free of crystalline silica, lead, arsenic, beryllium or other potentially harmful substances found in some fillers in use.
